The History Center was proud to again serve as the venue for the 2025 version of History Storytellers. The evening brought together more than 100 history lovers to hear from some of York County’s most knowledgeable history researchers and storytellers. The evening’s theme — The Struggle for Liberty in York County — included stories about the little-known life of James Smith and Lafayette’s visits. It explored the difficult journeys of freedom seekers trying to evade bounty hunters and highlighted the stories of women who served in the military. The event was organized by the York Daily Record/Sunday News and Hometown History.

Below are the videos of the seven presentations from the evening, produced by the Daily Record.
