Explore York History from the comfort of your home
In the wake of Covid-19, the York History at Home page was created. It has now become a wonderful collection of resources educators, families, and history buffs have used. Also provided on this page are links to our local historians and their research. Check out the information below and stop by the History Center in person for additional resources.
We're a History Passport stop!
This summer, the York County History Center is a featured stop on the York County Parks Department’s History Passport Program! Participants follow the adventures of a child exploring sites throughout the county, completing scavenger hunt activities and answering questions at each location.
To participate, pick up your passport at the York County Parks office or another participating location — passports are not available at the History Center. Then visit us, complete our designated pages, and collect your sticker at the front desk. Note that regular admission applies. Ready to explore? Grab your passport and start your York County history adventure!
