Join the History Center team
The York County History Center is looking for dynamic, professional individuals to join our team. We’re a well-established history museum that has been in York County for more than 130 years. We are shifting our mission to be more inclusive in our approach to gathering and telling York County’s story. In June of 2024, we moved into a state-of-the-art history museum and are adding jobs to accommodate what we expect will be an increase in visitors.
For college students, the Internship Program is an excellent way for students majoring in History, Public History, Museum Studies, Education, and related fields to gain valuable experience working in a museum or archival setting. History Center interns are managed through each department based on an individual’s interests, skill sets, and availability. Projects aligning intern goals with current History Center needs will be part of the experience, and all positions are unpaid.
It’s a great time to be part of an organization that is starting an exciting, new chapter.
