Volunteer for Keep PA Beautiful

Saturday, July 19, is Keep PA Beautiful Day, and we’re looking for lots of helpers to work on volunteer projects. You will be doing cleaning, painting, repairs and more to the Colonial Complex sites in preparation for America’s 250th anniversary in 2026. All volunteers will receive a free T-shirt, and we’ll have FREE donuts, pizza, coffee and water for everybody. The National Guard of Pennsylvania History Project will be tabling in the lobby of the History Center Museum on July 19. Come see the uniforms, arms, and equipment carried by the national guard during it's early history, and learn about the companies that called York County home.

First Friday is a celebration of our downtown! Each month the York County History Center offers activities to highlight history and fun.

Living the Experience joins us to highlight their interactive historical reenactment of the Underground Railroad. Spirits of the Past

Drink your way through the history of prohibition with 1 batched cocktail and 1 cocktail class attendees will make. Cocktail selection will be shared soon. This program is for individuals 21 and older. Tickets go on sale in July.

His book Massacre of the Conestogas: On the Trail of the Paxton Boys in Lancaster County recalls the brutal attack on peaceful Conestoga Indians. Brubaker wrote the Scribbler for 44 years at LNP.
