Due to his love of history Michael Maloney started writing books. His latest book Rattlesnake Colonel: Thomas Cresap An American Paradox will be the focus of our Second Saturday program in May. Rattlesnake Colonel covers the contradictory and often controversial life of Thomas Cresap.
Associate Professor of History, Dr. Joy Giguere of Penn State York will join us to discuss her book Pleasure Grounds of Death: The Rural Cemetery in Nineteenth-Century America.

Shippensburg University Professor Dr. Allen Dieterich-Ward with a specialization in environmental history joins us August 25. Join the discussion of his new book Cradle of Conservation: An Environmental History of Pennsylvania.
Author of seven books, Jack Burbaker has written a variety of history focused books. His book Massacre of the Conestogas: On the Trail of the Paxton Boys in Lancaster County recalls the brutal attack on peaceful Conestoga Indians. Burbaker wrote the Scribbler for 44 years at LNP.
