We are excited to welcome local organist Daniel Brownell to play a daytime concert on May 1 at the History Center Museum. Daniel is Director of Music Ministries and Worship at First Presbyterian Church in York.

About the Organist

Daniel A. Brownell is the Director of Music Ministry and Worship at First Presbyterian Church in the heart of downtown York, PA.  He serves as principal organist for weekly worship, directs the Chancel Choir, Bell Choir and Contemporary Band, is Artistic Director and Coordinator of the Abendmusik Concert Series, and is responsible for the long-term vision process for the Music Ministry.  Additionally, he manages tech for sound, streaming and other endeavors, liaises with the Explore York organization to network the church to a wider audience.  In addition to his duties at FPC, he maintains a small studio of piano, organ and woodwind students, is a frequent recitalist and performer, and is Adjunct Professor of Music at Messiah University where he leads the Handbell Ensemble.  He also can be heard 1-2 times a month in the lobby of the Yorktowne Hotel.
