Board names Benjamin Neely new president/CEO

The York County History Center Board of Directors approved the appointment of Benjamin Neely as the organization’s new President and Chief Executive Officer. The board made the decision during its June 18 meeting, following the recommendation of the search committee that has been evaluating candidates since March.

Civil War Day

York was caught in the crossfire of the war and even surrendered to the Confederates in the Summer of 1863. Our Civil War Day showcases the stories Yorkers, people of the Susquehanna Valley and beyond. Event schedule below.
Event Details

How to Participate:

  • Register and pick up your passport Tuesday-Saturday 10 am – 4 pm at the Agricultural & Industrial Museum.
  • Visit our participating sites, receive a stamp and write what you learned during your visit in your passport.
  • Return your passport by August 31.
  • Check our social media for the winners.
