Celebrate with the adoption of the Articles of Confederation with us!  Adults and families can participate in hands-on activities that help us understand the place of the Articles of Confederation in American history and learn about York’s Revolutionary past!

  • Join and drill with Hartley’s Additional Continental Regiment
  • Learn about the life of a Revolutionary Soldier
  • View period documents, including an original copy of the Articles of Confederation
  • Meet members of the second Continental Congress
  • Meet Private Edward “Ned” Hector, a free Black man and teamster and noted for his heroism and courage during the retreat from the Battle of Brandywine.
  • Participate in a collaborative art project
  • Try your hand at letter writing, 18th century style
  • Learn about spy techniques during the Revolutionary War
