Celebrate the Holiday Season with the History Center

Each year the city of York celebrates the lighting of a tree in the square for the holiday season. We welcome those downtown for the evening to experience the holidays in Early America at the Colonial Complex’s historic buildings, 157 West Market St. Offering brief holiday focused tours visitors will learn about 18th & early 19th Century traditions like the Belsnickel, the 12 Days of Christmas, Hanukkah, and more! Be sure to bundle up and make your way to the Colonial Complex, your last chance to take the tour will be at 7:40 pm. Please note our buildings have a variety of stairs and do not have heat.
