The York County History Center offers three museums, four historic sites and a genealogy research library and archives all located within the City of York, PA. The museums cover history from our earliest roots through current day with an emphasis on topics such as colonial times, agriculture, manufacturing, firefighting and the decorative arts. We’ve made your visit to the History Center easy and convenient with a one price admission that enables you to visit all of our museums within the same day. Discounts are available for AAA, Seniors and the Military. Reserving tickets online is highly encouraged.
As always, members of the History Center gain free unlimited access to our museums and library for research. Become a member today and support your History Center throughout the year.
Note these holiday changes to our regular operating schedule:
- Thursday, Nov. 27: Closed for Thanksgiving
- Friday, Nov. 28: Open regular hours
- Saturday, Nov. 29: Open regular hours; last day to visit the Colonial Complex and the Fire Museum
- Dec. 24 and 25: Closed for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
- Dec. 31 and Jan. 1: Closed for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day

York County History Center is proud to be a part of the Museums for All program Through Museums for All, those receiving food assistance (SNAP benefits) can gain free or reduced admission to more than 1,500 museums throughout the United States simply by presenting their SNAP EBT (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Electronic Benefit Transfer) card.
Now through November 30, 2025 anyone presenting their EBT/SNAP/WIC card at the museum will receive FREE admission for up to 4 individuals.
