Community Events

Each year the History Center participates in a series of Community Events- Go Green in the City, York Arts Week, and Light Up York. These events give the History Center a chance to connect with our community and offer programs tied to the theme of the event. At Go Green in the City we highlight the ways people from the Colonial period would interact with nature through gardening, harvesting and preserving food. During York Arts Week we welcome people downtown to take part in Murals Walking Tours which tell the story of York’s History. Come December folks bundle up and head to the Colonial buildings after the tree is lit in the square to learn about Colonial holidays.

Community Events Schedule:

  • Go Green in the City — April
  • York Arts Week — August
  • Light Up Night — December
