Join us at Second Saturday Aug. 9 for Living the Experience, an immersive Underground Railroad reenactment that brings Lancaster’s hidden history to life through interactive storytelling and first-person interpretation. This acclaimed program, housed at Lancaster’s historic Bethel AME Church, has captivated audiences from around the world with its powerful portrayal of the people and events that made Lancaster a crucial stop on the Underground Railroad.

Volunteers with the Friends of the History Center have been collecting items for this new Treasures & Trinkets fundraising event. The group has gathered many items, all donated by the Friends and other generous community members.

Items that will be on sale include hundreds of scarves, dozens of purses and many pieces of jewelry and accessories for men and women. A handful of higher-value items will be sold via silent auction.

Friday, Feb. 7, will be an early sale party starting at 5 p.m., with wine and chocolate and a $10 admission. Saturday will be the regular sale day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and FREE admission.
