Board names Benjamin Neely new president/CEO

The York County History Center Board of Directors approved the appointment of Benjamin Neely as the organization’s new President and Chief Executive Officer. The board made the decision during its June 18 meeting, following the recommendation of the search committee that has been evaluating candidates since March.

The Friends of the History Center present Book Blast, one of their most popular fundraising events, continuing June 6 and 7 at the Agricultural & Industrial Museum, 217 W. Princess St. The Friends spent three months collecting donated books, and they will be priced to sell! Book Blast is one of the community’s biggest used book sales, and it’s for a great cause — the History Center!

Here are the times for the last two days of the sale:

  • June 6 – 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • June 7 – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
