Lois Smith Myers, left, and Nancy Smith recently visited the Historical Society Museum and were delighted to see the World War I uniform worn by their Great Uncle Maurice Smith. The uniform is a featured artifact in our Salute to York County's Veterans exhibit at the museum. Lois is the current volunteer curator at the Glen Rock Historic Preservation Society. She and Nancy are History Center members. #yourhistorystartshere #yorkcountyveterans #glenrockhistory

For Giving Tuesday this year, the History Center needs your help. We want to put a new roof on the Gates House. We raised most of the funds, but we still need $8,000. On Nov. 29, let's RAISE THE ROOF for the Gates House together. Coming soon: the link to our Giving Tuesday page. https://t.co/EtAFMvMm1Z yorkhistory photo
