The next Writers’ Roundtable meeting will be 7 p.m. March 6. Norina Bentzel will present “Purpose in the Midst of Tragedy: Book Writing – Vision to Publication.” This program will be available in person and online.
Norina Bentzel will talk about writing her book “Glorious Sadness.” Here’s a description of her presentation in her own words:
“Being the elementary school principal who survived the mass machete attack at North Hopewell-Winterstown Elementary School on Feb. 2, 2001, it quickly became evident to me that finding purpose from this unimaginably tragic event was not only necessary but inevitable. Everyone has a story to tell, and in this one, I will share how I was able to work through this tragedy, discovering the ability to overcome the powerlessness that it easily produced. I weave within my story practical thoughts regarding the book writing process that I used from my thought-provoking vision to final self-publication. My hope is that my story can help others benefit in the healing process of tragedy as well as provide valuable highlights to aid authors in the stages of writing a book. My memoir, “Glorious Sadness” was launched on July 29, 2024, and is available on Amazon.com.”
