Summer Family Maker Series

Bake Oven

Saturday, June 1 at the Colonial Complex, 10 AM-Noon and 1:30-3:30

Choose one class time to learn how to bake in our Summer Kitchen’s bake oven.  Participants will be making fresh herb and garlic scones and pizzas to share with the group.  Register early for these classes as space is limited to provide a better experience.  Ages 5 and up.  Please wear closed toed shoes.

 

Felting for Beginners

Saturday, July 13 at the Agricultural and Industrial Museum, 10 AM- Noon

Participants will receive tools and instruction to learn to felt with Randi Marchant of Hand Me a Craft.  Everyone will make a felted fox and keep their tools to continue to craft on their own.  Ages 10 and up.

 

 

Point and Shoot Photography

Saturday, August 3 at the Colonial Complex, 10 AM- Noon

Satoko Berg, local photographer, will lead a class on the basics of photography followed by a walk around York to practice your newly learned skills.  This class is for ages 8 and up.  Participants must bring a point and shoot camera or a phone with a camera function.

 

Quilling

Saturday, August 17 at the Agricultural and Industrial Museum, 10 AM- Noon

Quilling is an art form in which strips of paper are curled and shaped, glued together to create pictures, designs, or patterns.  In this class participants will learn the basic forms and begin a project.  Ages 6 and up.
