Oyster Festival 2020: A Virtual Experience

From October 10th through October 18th, virtual festival-goers will be able to access and participate in an entire week’s worth of fun, informative and downright delicious activities, including:

– Virtual tours of the oyster life, including habitat, harvesting and history

– Livestream presentation and conversation with an “oyster historian”

– A road rally designed to share and explore our excellent York County history!

And to encourage support of our larger community, we will be promoting local restaurants serving oyster-inspired menu items.

Proceeds from Oyster Festival are essential to our continuing efforts to gather, preserve and share the incredible stories of York County. Please consider making a donation in support of our virtual event.

Chef’s Showcase!

This year our Oyster Festival has moved to a virtual platform for the safety of our members, visitors, volunteers, and staff.  But just because we are virtual doesn’t mean you still can’t enjoy oysters at home!  Our Chef’s Showcase series will help teach you how to make oyster dishes at home as prepared by several local restaurants.
