The Ma & Pa Railroad: Engine of Development

The Maryland & Pennsylvania Railroad, affectionately known as the Ma & Pa, was a small railroad with a big impact for the more than 50 communities it served between York and Baltimore. Craig Sansonetti, president and archivist of the Maryland & Pennsylvania Railroad Preservation Society will explore the history of the railroad and its enormous significance in the economic and cultural development of these rural and not-so-rural communities.
