Anna Dill Gamble: Woman Suffragist

Drawing from the holdings of the History Center’s Library & Archives,  June Lloyd will focus on the little known story of Anna Dill Gamble and her extensive local work with her associates during 1914 and 1915 in the push to obtain women suffrage in Pennsylvania through an amendment to the Pennsylvania state constitution. Gamble had a major impact on the women’s rights movement and was also active in the York County community, helping to establish a local chapter of Girl Scouts of American and the Women’s Club of York.
