Workers from Lewis Contractors installed the steel for the space that will become the main entrance to the new museum and library and archives.

This space will become a two-story atrium that will connect the two existing buildings in the complex, with another space on the third floor for a multipurpose area that will house meetings, events and organ concerts.

History Center staff will work behind this row of new windows along the Philadelphia Street side of the building.

The project replaced all the existing windows and re-pointed bricks where there had been deterioration. The building along Pershing Avenue dates back to the early 1900s.
