Tannenberg Organ Summer Concert Series

Built by David Tannenberg, a prominent organ builder of the 18th century in south central Pennsylvania, the organ was originally constructed in 1804 for York’s Christ Lutheran Church. It was the last organ built by Tannenberg, as he suffered a stroke during the installation and died two days later. The organ was first played at Tannenberg’s funeral.

In addition to our talented York organists, members from the Harrisburg and Lancaster chapters of the American Guild of Organists will also be performing this season.

Don’t forget to stop by the History Center’s Gift and Bookshop during or after the concert to enjoy a 25% discount off purchases of $5 or more.
